How it works

Three steps from first chat to settlement.

  1. We talk

A quick chat about what you're after, your income and commitments, and what matters most to you: rate, flexibility, or certainty.

  2. I compare

I run your numbers across my lender panel and come back with your best options, with the trade-offs spelled out in plain language.

  3. You decide, I handle the rest

Once you've picked a loan I manage the application, chase the lender, and keep you posted right through to settlement.

Repayment calculator

Get a feel for the numbers before we talk.

Adjust the loan amount, rate and term. Figures are principal-and-interest estimates only; your actual repayments depend on the lender, fees and your circumstances.

Monthly repayment$3,655.37
Total interest$715,933
Total cost of loan$1,315,933
Number of repayments360
Assumptions
  • Interest is compounded at the repayment frequency; lenders generally accrue daily and debit monthly, so a lender schedule may differ slightly.
  • The rate is assumed constant for the whole term.
  • Fees, charges, offset accounts and redraw are not included.
  • Principal and interest: the loan is fully repaid over the term.

This calculator gives estimates only. It is not a quote, an offer of credit, or credit advice, and it does not take your personal circumstances into account. Actual figures depend on a lender’s assessment of your application.

Fixed vs variable, which one's right for you?

Latest post

One of the most common questions I get asked: should I fix my home loan, or keep it variable? The honest answer is that it depends on your situation.

If certainty matters most, say you're stretching your budget and want to know exactly what's coming out each month, fixed can bring peace of mind. If flexibility matters more, or you're likely to make extra repayments, variable might suit better. Plenty of people split their loan, part fixed and part variable, to get a bit of both.

Variable rate

  • Repayments move up or down as rates change
  • More features: offset accounts, extra repayments
  • Good if you want to pay the loan off faster

Fixed rate

  • Rate and repayment locked for 1 to 5 years
  • Easy to budget: you know what's coming out
  • Extra repayments and offset may be limited
